This policy relates to the .UK domain name family incorporating .co.uk, .me.uk, .org.uk and .uk.

All .UK extensions are managed by the registrar Nominet. Their policy allows for .UK domain names to be transferred with little hassle. There are no EPP codes like other domain extensions.

How to transfer a .UK domain name to Maxer
  1. Place an order to transfer the domain registration on our website at https://my.maxer.com/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer
.UK domain name transfers are free. You are not required to renew a .UK domain name during the transfer process (unlike most other TLDs). The main reason for placing the order via your client area is so our team know to assign the incoming domain name to the correct client's account.
  2. Contact your current domain provider, and ask them to re-tag the domain name to the ISP tag MAXER
Please note that once you place the order, the domain name should be re-tagged within one week.
  3. Once we receive the domain name on our tag, our team will assign it to your Maxer Host account, so you can manage it via your client area.

Nominet have also introduced data validation for all their domain extensions. This may mean that you could be contacted regarding the details provided for the registrant (contact information). Nominet will validate this information against public records and will also require you to validate it. Please ensure you answer any correspondence from Nominet directly as we cannot access those records ourselves. If you are unsure if the email is meant for you, please copy it to our support team who will verify it and give you the steps to follow to confirm with Nominet.
