Open Webmail

Please open and login to the Webmail interface, as described here: How to access Webmail on cPanel servers - Maxer

Once logged into Webmail, you'll be greeted by an option to choose a Webmail application. At the time of this writing, cPanel offers only RoundCube, which is the most popular application and includes plenty of useful features.

Create Folder

Next, to create a folder, follow these steps:

For RoundCube:
  1. Open RoundCube webmail
  2. Click on the "Settings" button in the left sidebar
  3. Select the "Folders" tab and click on the "Create" button at the top of the right panel
  4. Enter the folder name and choose a parent folder (if applicable)
  5. That's it! Your new folder will appear in the list.

Subscribe to Folder

After creating a folder, it should appear in RoundCube as well as on other email applications like Thunderbird, Outlook or Apple Mail, provided that your email account is connected through IMAP and not POP3. You may need to "resync" the IMAP subscription list for your email application before the new folder appears in the list.

You should also be able to create a new folder using your email program or app, which will then appear in the Webmail applications. If a folder doesn't appear in RoundCube, you may need to make it visible (subscribe to it), as follows:

For RoundCube:
  1. Open RoundCube webmail
  2. Click on the "Settings" button in the left sidebar
  3. Select the "Folders" tab and click on any desired folder that is not enabled
  4. The folder should now appear under the "Mail" tab in the left sidebar
